Trontek to Unveil 5 MWh EKOM Battery Energy Storage System at The Battery Show India 2026

Trontek Electronics will unveil its 5 MWh EKOM containerised Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at The Battery Show India 2026, marking its entry into large-scale energy storage for industrial and utility applications. The system will be showcased at Stall C16, Hall 18, at India Expo Mart & Centre, Greater Noida, from October 22 to 24, 2026.

The launch marks an expansion of Trontek’s battery technology and manufacturing expertise beyond electric mobility into large-scale energy storage applications. The EKOM platform is designed to address growing energy storage requirements as India expands its renewable energy capacity and seeks greater flexibility in power management.

Battery energy storage systems can help manage variations in electricity supply and demand, support renewable energy integration and improve the utilisation of stored power across industrial and utility operations.

Trontek has more than two decades of experience in battery technology and manufacturing. The company currently has an active manufacturing capacity of 3 GWh and plans to increase this to 12 GWh by 2028. The planned expansion is intended to support its growing presence in mobility, distributed energy and large-scale storage markets.

Commenting on the launch, Samrath S Kochar, Founder and CEO of Trontek, said energy storage would play an important role in meeting India’s future power requirements. He added that the EKOM launch would extend the company’s battery expertise into large-scale applications while supporting the development of domestic energy storage capabilities.

At the exhibition, Trontek will showcase its portfolio across three business segments: electric mobility, energy storage, and power and critical infrastructure solutions.

The company’s electric mobility portfolio includes battery solutions for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and other mobility applications. Its energy storage portfolio comprises POWERCUBE for residential applications, NOVARA for commercial facilities and EKOM for industrial and utility-scale requirements. The newly unveiled 5 MWh system will form part of the EKOM range.

Trontek will also display inverter and solar solutions for distributed energy applications, along with battery systems designed for telecom infrastructure and backup power requirements.

The expanded portfolio reflects Trontek’s move towards a broader energy technology business supported by Indian engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The company aims to develop products for residential, commercial, industrial and utility customers as demand for energy storage increases.
