Eltel Denmark has signed a five-year frame agreement with KONSTANT for the expansion, operation and maintenance of the electricity distribution network in parts of Jutland. The agreement has an estimated value of DKK 544 million, equivalent to EUR 73 million, for the initial five-year term, with an option to extend the agreement by three years.
Under the agreement, Eltel will support the servicing, maintenance and expansion of KONSTANT’s electricity distribution network. The scope of work includes transformer stations, cable cabinets, maintenance, fault repair, emergency preparedness and 24/7 monitoring.
The agreement is expected to strengthen Eltel Denmark’s Power business in Jutland and further reinforce its position in the Danish Power market.
The contract comes as increasing electrification across society is placing greater demands on electricity distribution networks. The growing use of heat pumps, electric vehicles, battery solutions, solar parks and other renewable energy sources is driving the need for continued expansion, operation and maintenance of a stronger and more robust electricity network.
Through the frame agreement, Eltel will contribute to the continued development and reliable operation of KONSTANT’s electricity network as the role of electricity grids becomes increasingly important in supporting electrification.
The frame agreement will enter into force on 1 February 2027 and will run until 31 January 2035, provided that the extension options are exercised.
As part of the assignment, Eltel Denmark plans to recruit approximately 40 new technicians.
