Ceigall India Limited (CIL) has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for the development of a major power transmission system with an estimated total project cost of ₹5,300 crore, inclusive of GST.
The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing dated September 3, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The LoI was received from RECPDCL through email on September 3.
The project, titled “Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5 GW) and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1 GW) – Part-B,” involves a 765/400 kV AIS substation along with a 300-km transmission line.
The contract has been awarded on a tariff-based contract agreement basis and is classified as a domestic order.
Under the terms disclosed by Ceigall India, the project will have a 36-month work execution period, followed by an operational period of 35 years.
The annual transmission charges under the project are estimated at ₹608.67 crore for 35 years. The total project cost is approximately ₹5,300 crore, including GST.
Ceigall India said that neither its promoter/promoter group nor its group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract. The company also stated that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.
