Bajel Projects Limited Secures Major Order for 400kV Transmission Line Under Bellary–Davanagere RE Evacuation Scheme 

Bajel Projects Limited (Bajel), a leading player in the Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D) EPC sector and a Bajaj Group company, today announced that it has bagged a Major* order for the Bellary–Davanagere transmission line Package TL01 comprising 2nd 400kV (Quad) D/c transmission line.

The order forms part of the larger transmission system strengthening initiative for the integration of additional renewable energy potential of 0.25 GW at Davanagere and 2.75 GW at Bellary, a critical link in evacuating renewable power into the national grid. The project involves the construction of a ~70 kms 400kV (Quad) D/c transmission line connecting Bellary Substation to Davanagere Substation. 

Commenting on the order win, Mr. Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director & CEO, Bajel Projects Limited, said, “This Major order win is a strong endorsement of Bajel’s execution credentials in high-voltage transmission and our continued alignment with India’s energy transition priorities. The Bellary–Davanagere corridor is a central transmission system for the evacuation of renewable power from critical solar and wind zones in Karnataka. With every such order, Bajel reinforces its commitment to building the transmission infrastructure that will power a greener, more reliable India to the highest standards of safety and quality.” 

With this addition, Bajel continues to deepen its 400kV and above order book, highlighting the Company’s engineering capability, execution discipline, and readiness to deliver mission-critical transmission infrastructure at scale. 

The company classifies project orders, inclusive of GST, as Significant (₹50–100 crore), Large (₹100–200 crore), Major (₹200–300 crore), Mega (₹300–400 crore), and Ultra-mega (₹400 crore and above).
