Yogi Adityanath Lays Foundation Stone for Electronics Manufacturing Plants, Says India Aims to Become Global Electronics Components Hub

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the electronics manufacturing plants of Amber and Ascent-K Circuits in Gautam Buddha Nagar, stating that the country’s objective is to transform India into a global hub for electronic components manufacturing.

Adityanath highlighted that the investment of more than ₹6,045 crore by Amber Group and South Korea-based Ascent-K Circuits is expected to strengthen the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh, generate large-scale employment opportunities, and encourage the establishment of additional anchor units and component suppliers in the state.

Emphasising Uttar Pradesh’s growing appeal as an investment destination, the Chief Minister said the state now offers a land bank of nearly 75,000 acres, sector-specific industrial policies, timely incentives, and a single-window clearance mechanism that enables investors to establish projects with minimal procedural hurdles. He noted that improved law and order and infrastructure development have transformed the Jewar region into one of the state’s fastest-growing industrial destinations.

The event was attended by Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, senior state government officials, and industry representatives. The new manufacturing facilities are expected to enhance domestic production of electronic components, strengthen India’s electronics supply chain, and support the country’s broader objective of becoming a global electronics manufacturing powerhouse.
