SJVN Signs PPAs with GUVNL for Supply of Green Power from Hydro Projects in Himachal Pradesh

SJVN Limited has signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with SJVN Limited and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for the supply of green power from its upcoming hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh.

The agreements cover power procurement from three major projects—66 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project (HEP), 210 MW Luhri Stage-I HEP, and 382 MW Sunni Dam HEP. These projects are part of SJVN’s expanding renewable energy portfolio aimed at strengthening long-term clean power generation capacity.

According to Sh. Bhupender Gupta, CMD, SJVN, the PPAs have been signed to facilitate the supply of power from these upcoming hydro projects, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable energy development.

The agreements were formally signed today in Vadodara, Gujarat. The signing ceremony was attended by Sh. Aman Katoch, General Manager (C&SO), SJVN, and Sh. Sanjay Mathur, General Manager (Commerce), GUVNL, along with senior officials from both organisations.

With these long-term agreements, SJVN further strengthens its power sale portfolio with leading utilities across India. The development also reinforces the company’s strategic role in supporting India’s transition towards a cleaner, greener, and more resilient energy future through large-scale hydroelectric power projects.
