Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has invested Rs 11 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited (SESL), to support the establishment of a 2.20 GW greenfield high-efficiency Solar DCR cell and Solar PV modules manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The company disclosed the investment on September 5, 2026,
According to the disclosure, the investment has been made in cash by subscribing to equity shares of Shakti Energy Solutions Limited. Since SESL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shakti Pumps, the equity shares will be issued from time to time in accordance with the agreement.
The proposed manufacturing facility will have a production capacity of 2.20 GW and is being established as part of SESL’s expansion into the manufacturing of Solar DCR cells and Solar PV modules.
Shakti Energy Solutions Limited was incorporated on September 6, 2010, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shakti Pumps. The company currently manufactures solar structures and operates in the Solar Rooftop segment, among other activities.
SESL recorded a turnover of Rs 239.11 crore in FY2026, compared with Rs 216.53 crore in FY2025 and Rs 139.59 crore in FY2024.
The company stated that the investment does not fall under a related party transaction, as SESL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shakti Pumps. Accordingly, the disclosure states that the arm’s-length requirement is not applicable.
The investment forms part of Shakti Energy Solutions’ expansion into solar DCR cell and solar PV module manufacturing, with the proposed 2.20 GW facility to be established at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.
