SEIL Posts Highest-Ever Quarterly Order Intake of Rs 1,265 Crore in Q2 FY27; Order Backlog Rises 49.6% to Rs 2,701 Crore

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited, a part of Schneider Electric Group, a global energy technology leader, announced its financial results for the second quarter and half year of 2026-27, ended 30th September 2026.

SEIL recorded its highest-ever quarterly order intake of INR 1,265 crores in Q2’FY27, ahead of the previous high of INR 915 crores in Q1’FY27. Demand remained strong across the established segments and the emerging ones, such as data centres and semiconductors. For H1’FY27, order intake was INR 2,180 crores, up 24.7% year-on-year. The order backlog stood at INR 2,701 crores as of 30th September 2026, up 49.6% year-on-year, which gives the Company healthy sales visibility.

Sales for Q2’FY27 was INR 779 crores, up 19.8% year-on-year and 19.6% over Q1’FY27. The conversion of order wins into sales is progressing well, and project execution has picked up. Sales for H1’FY27 stood at INR 1,430 crores, up 12.5% year-on-year.

EBIT for Q2’FY27 was INR 56 crores, compared with INR 72 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBIT for H1’FY27 was INR 64 crores, compared with INR 130 crores in H1’FY26. Profitability remains lower than last year. This is due to commodity price volatility and the lag in passing on higher input costs on certain legacy orders. Margins are improving sequentially as the Company executes orders booked at current cost levels.

Deepak Sharma, Zone President- Greater India, Schneider Electric, and Board Director, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited, said, “SEIL has delivered another strong order quarter, and the recovery in sales in Q2 shows that our execution is gaining momentum. Demand from data centres, semiconductors and grid infrastructure continues to be strong as India advances its electrification and industrial modernisation journey. While profitability remains below last year, our priority is to convert the strong order book into sales, and to improve project margins, through disciplined execution, cost pass-through and portfolio enrichment.”

Udai Singh, MD & CEO, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited, said, “Highest-ever orders in Q2, a strong sequential recovery in sales and a record order backlog make this a solid half year for SEIL. Our focus now is on timely delivery, operational excellence and improving the margin quality of our order book. We are also investing for the future. The Board has approved a capacity expansion at our Kolkata facility, and we have been recognised for our work on sustainability and governance. With a healthy pipeline and a strong backlog, we are well positioned to create long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”

Beyond the numbers, SEIL continued to invest in building capacity for growth while strengthening its sustainability and governance credentials.
