RMC Switchgears Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) worth ₹23.64 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MAHAVITRAN) for the deployment of solar-powered water pumping systems across Maharashtra.
Under the contract, the company will undertake the design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP at identified farmer locations in the state.
The project also includes complete system warranty support, repair and maintenance services, and the implementation of a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for a period of five years. The installations will be carried out under the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana and the PM KUSUM-B Scheme, which aim to enhance the adoption of solar-powered irrigation solutions among farmers.
The order is expected to strengthen RMC Switchgears’ project portfolio in the renewable energy segment and support the company’s growth trajectory in the solar infrastructure market.
The contract has been awarded by MAHAVITRAN, one of Maharashtra’s leading power distribution utilities, and is scheduled to be executed over a five-year period.
