Ravindra Energy’s Associate Energy In Motion Launches India’s Largest Battery Swapping & Charging Station

Ravindra Energy Limited has announced that its associate entity, Energy In Motion Limited (EIM), has commenced commercial operations at India’s largest battery swapping and charging station for heavy electric vehicles. The facility is located at the Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal (NSFT) within Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Nhava Sheva.

The advanced, automated station has been developed to support the rising demand for zero-emission logistics. With an installed power capacity of 3 MW, the facility is capable of servicing more than 160 heavy electric vehicles per day, ensuring efficient operations and significantly reducing vehicle downtime. Over 130 EIM-Foton electric vehicles currently operating at the port have already started utilizing the station’s services.

This development marks a strategic step in strengthening India’s clean logistics ecosystem and highlights EIM’s continued focus on building innovation-driven EV infrastructure. The initiative also aligns with broader industry efforts to accelerate the transition toward sustainable transportation in high-intensity logistics environments such as ports.

Commenting on the development, Narendra Murkumbi, Managing Director of Energy In Motion Limited, stated that “We are proud to partner with Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal (NSFT) in creating a transformative EV ecosystem that drives efficiency and sustainability. NSFT, a joint venture of CMA Terminal Holdings, France and J M Baxi group, is a leader in green energy transition in the ports sector in India and we are working with them to electrify their entire vehicle fleet by the end of FY 2026-27.”
