Rajesh Power Services has secured a ₹211.68 crore EPC contract from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) for a 220 kV underground cable transmission project in Odisha. The project strengthens the company’s presence in India’s power transmission infrastructure sector.
Rajesh Power Services Limited (RPSL) has secured a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) valued at ₹211.68 crore, including taxes. The project marks the company’s entry into the state of Odisha and further strengthens its position in India’s power transmission sector.
Under the contract, Rajesh Power Services will undertake the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 220 kV single-circuit underground cable transmission line connecting the 400/220/132/33 kV GSS Mendhasal to the 220/132/33 kV GIS GSS Chandaka-B. The scope of work also includes the construction of one 220 kV AIS bay extension at GSS Mendhasal and one 220 kV GIS bay extension at Chandaka-B.
The project represents one of the largest transmission orders secured by the company to date and is expected to significantly enhance its order book. It also reinforces Rajesh Power Services’ growing capabilities in executing complex transmission infrastructure projects on a turnkey EPC basis.
The award strengthens the company’s geographical footprint by establishing its presence in eastern India. According to the company, the project reflects the confidence placed in its execution capabilities by leading power transmission utilities and is expected to contribute meaningfully to its long-term growth trajectory.
The transmission infrastructure project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
