NTPC Limited has announced that an additional 50 MW solar capacity, constituting the third part of a cumulative 250 MW solar capacity out of a planned 300 MW solar component, has been declared commercially operational under a Renewable Energy Round-The-Clock (RTC) project in Rajasthan.

According to a disclosure made by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, the 50 MW solar capacity has been commissioned by a group company of NGEL with effect from June 14, 2026. The solar project forms part of a 200 MW Renewable Energy Round-The-Clock (RTC) project being developed in Rajasthan.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and was communicated to both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on June 12, 2026.

With the commissioning of this additional solar capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 90,857 MW, while its commercial capacity has reached 88,977 MW.

NTPC stated that the declaration of Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the third tranche of the solar capacity marks another milestone in the group’s ongoing renewable energy expansion efforts and contributes to the growth of its clean energy portfolio.
