LS ELECTRIC has signed a distribution solutions supply contract worth approximately US$34.26 million (about KRW 48.6 billion) with global power company Bloom Energy, strengthening its position in the rapidly expanding North American hyperscale data center power infrastructure market.
Under this contract, LS ELECTRIC will supply a full set of key distribution systems, including low-voltage switchgear, for the power infrastructure construction project of a hyperscale data center being developed in Wyoming, U.S., by Bloom Energy for a major local energy infrastructure company.
Based on world-class distribution technology, excellent quality, and rapid delivery responsiveness, LS ELECTRIC secured additional orders from an existing customer. Going forward, LS ELECTRIC plans to further strengthen its partnership with Bloom Energy as a core supplier of power equipment and materials, and reinforce its presence in the North American data center market.
In line with surging power demand driven by the rapid global increase in AI data centers, LS ELECTRIC has been focusing on strengthening competitiveness in next-generation distribution solutions.
With “LS ELECTRIC Utah” in Utah and the “Bastrop Campus” in Texas as its two key production hubs, it has built a locally complete value chain encompassing sales, design, production, and service.
In addition, LS ELECTRIC established the world’s first manufacturing plant to adopt DC distribution, the “DC Factory,” at its Cheonan site, and is responding swiftly to next-generation data center requirements by advancing its DC distribution solutions.
Riding strong momentum in its North American data center business, LS ELECTRIC is also delivering record-high performance. In Q2, LS ELECTRIC posted revenue of KRW 1.5770 trillion and operating profit of KRW 178.5 billion, marking its best-ever quarterly results. North American revenue reached about KRW 400 billion, setting a new quarterly record, while cumulative orders surpassed KRW 7 trillion—demonstrating a solid growth foundation.
An LS ELECTRIC official said, “This contract once again proves LS ELECTRIC’s high-quality distribution solution technology in the global data center power market,” adding, “We will further strengthen our strategic cooperation with Bloom Energy and actively leverage our local hub infrastructure to expand our market share in the explosively growing North American data center market.”
