GE Power India Secures ₹550 Crore Order for Shoaiba Fuel Conversion Project in Saudi Arabia

GE Power India Limited has received the Notice of Award (NOA) for the Shoaiba Fuel Conversion Project in Saudi Arabia, with the cumulative value of the two contracts estimated at approximately ₹550 crore. This international order strengthens GE Power India’s growing presence in the Middle East power sector.

The order has been awarded by Dar Al Balad for Contracting and Operations Company Ltd., Saudi Arabia. The scope of the Shoaiba fuel conversion project covers the supply of equipment along with Technical Field Advisory Services related to boiler modifications required for fuel conversion.

The contracts have been awarded as two separate NOAs covering supply and service scopes respectively. The project is expected to be executed over a period of approximately 2.5 years, reinforcing GE Power India’s execution capabilities in large-scale international boiler modification and fuel conversion projects.

The company clarified that neither the promoter/promoter group nor its group companies have any interest in Dar Al Balad for Contracting and Operations Company Ltd., the entity awarding the contracts. The order also does not fall under the category of related party transactions.
