Diamond Power to Add Another CCV Line for Cables up to 132 kV

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) is pleased to announce that it will add another Catenary Continuous Vulcanizations (CCV) line at its Vadodara plant. The line can manufacture XLPE-insulated power cables up to 132 kV.

The machinery is scheduled for delivery by August 2027, and the line is targeted for commissioning by 31 December 2027.

With this addition, DICABS will operate Six CCV lines LO & Five Silane Lines at its 130-acre single-location plant. The expansion will add meaningful high-voltage and extra-highvoltage capacity. It comes as demand grows for underground cabling from state utilities, transmission developers, renewable energy parks and data centers.

The new CCV line will be supported by DICABS’s existing in-house manufacturing and testing infrastructure, which includes its own aluminium rod mills, in-house compounding facilities and National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)-accredited high-voltage testing laboratories rated up to 765 kV.

Commenting on the development, Mr Kavish Shah, Vice President, Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited, said: “Our EHV order book is growing steadily, and customers are asking for larger volumes on shorter timelines. This new CCV line strengthens our position as one of India’s leading MV and EHV cable manufacturers. It will help us serve that demand from a single, integrated location.”
