Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has secured a significant solar water pumping project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), valued at approximately ₹29.77 crore, excluding GST.
Under the contract, Crompton will undertake the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of 1,397 Off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems across various locations in Maharashtra. The project is being executed under the MTSKPY/ PM-KUSUM-B scheme, which aims to promote the adoption of solar-powered irrigation solutions in the agricultural sector.
The scope of work also includes providing a complete system warranty, repair and maintenance services, and a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for a period of five years. The integrated approach is expected to support efficient operation and long-term performance of the solar pumping infrastructure.
According to the company, the project is scheduled to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) or work order.
The order strengthens Crompton’s presence in the renewable energy and solar infrastructure segment, while supporting the wider deployment of sustainable irrigation solutions across Maharashtra. The project is expected to contribute to improving energy access for agricultural applications through reliable and environmentally friendly solar-powered water pumping systems.
