NHPC Limited has declared the Commercial Operation Date (CoD) of Unit 5, with a capacity of 250 MW, at its 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, effective from October 23, 2026.
With this declaration, five units of the project-Units 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, each with a capacity of 250 MW-have achieved commercial operation. The remaining units will be declared commercially operational in due course, and the company will provide further updates accordingly.
The Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project has a total installed capacity of 2,000 MW, comprising eight units of 250 MW each.
The announcement was made in continuation of NHPC’s earlier communications and in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
