Pace Digitek Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BSES) to develop a 57.5 MW / 115 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Delhi. The project, with an estimated capital outlay of Rs. 179.4 crore, will be implemented under a 12-year Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model and is scheduled for completion within seven months.
The award marks Pace Digitek’s fifth major utility-scale BOO/BOOT storage project, further strengthening its portfolio of long-term contracted energy infrastructure assets. With the addition of the BSES project, the Company’s utility-scale BOO/BOOT portfolio has increased to 3.32 GWh.
Under the long-term Battery Energy Storage Service Agreement (BESSA), Pace Digitek will receive a fixed capacity tariff of Rs. 47.05 lakh per MW per year, translating into annual contracted capacity revenue of Rs. 27.1 crore.
The BSES award adds to Pace Digitek Group’s recent BESS wins, including the Rs. 488.6 crore order from NTPC GE Power Services Private Limited (NGSL) for supply of standalone BESS along with AMC and warranty services, secured in September 2026.
Strengthening an Integrated Energy Storage Platform
Pace Digitek has been progressively building capabilities across the energy storage value chain, spanning BESS manufacturing, system integration, equipment supply, EPC execution and long-term ownership and operation of storage assets.
The Company’s Energy order book comprises a diversified portfolio of BOO, EPC and supply projects, with utility-scale BESS becoming an increasingly important part of the business. Since the end of Q1 FY2027, the Pace Digitek Group has secured Rs. 761 crore of additional orders across products and projects, further strengthening order visibility. The Company continues to expand its participation across BOO/BOOT, EPC and BESS supply models, supported by its manufacturing, technology, localisation and backward integration capabilities, enabling participation across the BESS value chain.
India’s growing renewable energy capacity, rising peak-power requirements and increasing need for grid flexibility are driving structural demand for utility-scale energy storage. Pace Digitek intends to build on its manufacturing and execution capabilities and selectively expand its presence across this opportunity.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Venugopalrao Maddisetty, Chairman & Managing Director, Pace Digitek Limited, said: “The BSES award is another important milestone in the development of our Energy business and marks our fifth utility-scale BOO/BOOT storage project. It reinforces the capabilities we have built across BESS manufacturing, project execution and long-term asset operations.
Our recent wins also demonstrate the breadth of our participation across the BESS value chain from supplying storage systems and providing lifecycle services to developing and operating long-term contracted storage assets. We believe this integrated capability provides a strong foundation to participate in the structural growth of India’s energy storage market.
We remain focused on disciplined execution, scaling our manufacturing capabilities and selectively building a portfolio of contracted energy infrastructure assets, while continuing to serve the evolving requirements of India’s power and renewable energy ecosystem.”
