Bondada Engineering Limited, through its joint venture with BEST Infra Private Limited, has received a Letter of Intent from Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited for the deployment of 40,000 smart energy meters in Telangana.
Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL) has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGNPDCL) for a smart energy metering project valued at approximately ₹41.01 crore. The order has been secured through BEL’s joint venture with BEST Infra Private Limited.
Under the project, the company will undertake the procurement, supply, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of smart energy meters. The scope also includes PP Box maintenance, network operations and monitoring through a cloud-based Head-End System (HES), Meter Data Acquisition System (MDAS) and Meter Data Management System (MDMS).
The project involves the deployment of 40,000 smart energy meters, comprising 12,500 single-phase meters and 27,500 three-phase meters.
According to the company’s regulatory disclosure, the order has been awarded by a domestic entity, TGNPDCL, and covers smart energy metering, system integration and associated digital infrastructure operations and maintenance.
The contract is scheduled to be executed within 11 months from the date of execution of the Purchase Order (PO). The total consideration is ₹41,01,42,500, inclusive of taxes.
BEL has also stated that the project is strategically aligned with the product portfolio handled by its subsidiary, Bondada E&E Pvt. Ltd. The execution will leverage the subsidiary’s expertise, resources and operational capabilities.
The company said it remains focused on timely and efficient project execution while expanding its presence in high-growth infrastructure and technology-enabled sectors.
