Leighton Asia has secured a contract from a multinational technology corporation to construct a data centre in Hyderabad, India, strengthening the company’s presence in the rapidly expanding digital infrastructure sector across Asia.

The award continues the company’s expansion in the fast-growing digital infrastructure sector across Asia.

The project will be delivered in joint venture with Sterling and Wilson.

CIMIC Group President and Executive Director Roberto Gallardo said, “This award reflects the confidence clients have in Leighton Asia’s ability to deliver complex projects safely and reliably.

“We’re seeing strong demand for high-quality digital infrastructure across key Asian markets, and this project further strengthens our presence in a sector where we have proven capability and a strong track record.”

Leighton Asia Managing Director Brad Davey said, “We’ve built a strong relationship with this client through successful project delivery, and we’re pleased to continue that partnership.

“Data centres require a high degree of planning, coordination and technical expertise. Together with Sterling and Wilson, we’re focused on delivering a facility that meets the client’s requirements and supports their long-term growth in India.”

Construction is scheduled to commence immediately.
