Zollner Elektronik AG and Avalon Technologies Limited are establishing a strategic joint venture for printed circuit board assembly and system integration in India. Through this partnership, Zollner is expanding its international competence network and creating additional manufacturing capacity for global customers with operations in the Indian market.
In Avalon, Zollner has gained an experienced partner with an established manufacturing base, mature supply chain structures and more than 25 years of experience in the Indian EMS market. Zollner brings to the partnership its extensive engineering and manufacturing expertise, international customer relationships and know-how across the entire product life cycle. Together, the two companies are creating the foundation to support customers in India reliably and with a high level of technological expertise.
Through the joint venture, Zollner is expanding its ability to support customers in line with their specific market and location requirements. For global companies with their own operations in India in particular, the joint venture provides an additional option for manufacturing closer to their operations and for localizing existing supply chains.
The joint venture will manufacture printed circuit board assemblies and system integration products in India. Initially, the focus will be on supplying the Indian operations of existing customers.
Avalon complements these services with expertise in areas including cable assemblies and wire harnesses, inductive components, plastics technology, sheet metal fabrication and machining. This allows both partners to strategically combine their respective strengths and offer a broad range of capabilities for manufacturing complex electronic and mechatronic products.
For many years, Zollner has pursued an international strategy aimed at supporting customers worldwide with consistently high quality standards and the greatest possible proximity to their respective markets. The joint venture with Avalon expands this network by adding manufacturing capacity in a market that is becoming increasingly important to many global customers.
Through the partnership, Zollner can leverage existing infrastructure and many years of manufacturing experience in India. This enables rapid access to local manufacturing capacity without first having to build its own production infrastructure from the ground up.
