Viviana Power Tech Limited, a power transmission, distribution and industrial EPC, has announced the successful commissioning of its 400 kV Double-Circuit (D/C) LILO transmission line serving a 323.4 MW wind park.
The line was energised on July 10, 2026, completing a technically demanding scope within a compressed execution window – a milestone that underscores the speed, agility and engineering depth of the Company’s project teams working under significant pressure.
The newly commissioned line evacuates power from a 323.4 MW wind park onto the high-voltage grid, forming a critical link in the region’s renewable-energy transmission network. Delivering a 400 kV double-circuit LILO configuration on an accelerated timeline required precise planning, close coordination with grid authorities and disciplined on-site execution – all achieved while maintaining the Company’s stringent safety standards.
Despite the tight execution timeline, the Company’s teams successfully managed and overcame a series of high-risk site conditions during the commissioning of the 400 kV Double-Circuit LILO transmission line.
The project involved the safe execution of three major high-voltage power-line crossings, including a 765 kV under-crossing, a ±500 kV HVDC under-crossing and a 400 kV overhead crossing. To carry out these critical works, the Company deployed a 100 MT crane for the erection of two 97 MT extension towers, ensuring safe and efficient completion of the challenging installation activities.
In addition, Viviana Power Tech successfully completed a critical 200-metre live-line (hot-line) stringing section between AP-07 and AP08 while adjacent circuits remained operational. This execution approach helped the Company avoid a complete grid shutdown and minimised disruption to the existing power transmission network.
Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Nikesh Choksi, Chairman & Managing Director, Viviana Power Tech Limited, “The commissioning of this 400 kV double-circuit LILO line is a defining moment for Viviana Power Tech. Executing three high-voltage crossings – including a 765 kV under-crossing and completing live-line stringing without a grid shutdown, all within a compressed timeline, reflects the engineering capability and safety discipline of our teams. With a confirmed order book of over Rs 1,340 crore and a healthy bidding pipeline, we remain focused on strengthening India’s power-transmission backbone and creating sustained value for our stakeholders.”
