Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APTRANSCO) for the manufacturing of transformers and related works. The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The order has been classified as a Large Order under TARIL’s project classification policy. The company’s policy defines Large Orders as projects valued between ₹100 crore and ₹500 crore, excluding GST. However, the disclosure does not specify the exact value of the order.
The contract has been awarded by APTRANSCO, a domestic entity, and covers the manufacturing of transformers and related work. Execution will be carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the LOI. The scheduled delivery period is within the next 13 months.
TARIL has clarified that its promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in APTRANSCO, the entity awarding the order. The company further stated that the order is being executed in the normal course of business and does not fall under related party transactions.
The order strengthens TARIL’s position in India’s transformer manufacturing sector as the company continues to focus on delivering high-quality products and services. TARIL has stated that it has established itself as a leading transformer manufacturer in the country over time.
