RMC Switchgears Limited has received Letters of Award (LOAs) worth ₹14.98 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MAHAVITRAN) for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra.
The order, valued at ₹14,98,65,900, covers 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) to be installed at identified farmers’ sites in districts across Maharashtra.
The project is being implemented under the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana / PM KUSUM B Scheme. The scope also includes complete system warranty, repair and maintenance, along with a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for five years.
According to the company’s disclosure, the award involves empanelment, a rate contract and allocation of quantities for the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar water pumping systems.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and has an execution period of five years. RMC Switchgears has classified the nature of the award as an Empanelment and Rate Contract.
The company said the receipt of the LOA will further strengthen its order book and is expected to contribute positively to its revenue and growth prospects. RMC Switchgears added that it will inform the stock exchanges about any further material developments related to the order, as required under applicable regulations.
