RITES Limited has revised the project cost of its ongoing railway electrification consultancy project awarded by South Central Railway for the 110 route kilometre (RKM) Bidar-Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) railway section. The revised project cost stands at ₹154.65 crore, excluding GST and including RITES fees.
The original project cost for the assignment was ₹97.96 crore, excluding GST and including RITES fees. The project is currently ongoing and is being executed on a cost-plus turnkey basis.
South Central Railway, a domestic entity, awarded RITES the work for providing Project Management Consultancy Services for the electrification of the 110 RKM Bidar-Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) railway section.
The project involves railway electrification works being carried out on a cost-plus turnkey basis. RITES has stated that the transaction is between a government entity and a government company.
