The company also announced significant progress in the development of its upcoming Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor manufacturing facility in Odisha, with the installation of key epitaxial wafer manufacturing reactors completed during the quarter.

Latest Strategic Developments
- With respect to the upcoming facility in Odisha, the project will be executed in two phases, where phase one consists of Epitaxy & Pakaging and phase 2 is the fabrication. The clean room construction and infrastructure for sourcing the power supply through 33kV lines has already been completed in Q1 this year.
- Furthermore in this quarter the erection and installation of state-of-the-art Silicon Carbide (SiC) Epitaxial Wafer manufacturing reactors is completed. This development marks a significant milestone in the company’s plans to establish India’s first vertically integrated SiC semiconductor production facility in Odisha, strengthening its commitment to developing advanced semiconductor manufacturing capabilities in India. The readiness of this facility was also witnessed by senior officials of the Odisha state government in September this year.
- The Bhubaneshwar facility is expected to commence commercial production upon completion of the remaining statutory and regulatory formalities. The key equipment required for the SiC epitaxial wafer manufacturing process has been installed, while essential power connections, utilities and other supporting infrastructure have been commissioned and are in place. The completion of these critical infrastructure elements represents an important step towards operationalising the facility thereby delivering India’s first SiC Epitaxial wafers for domestic and global markets.
