REC Subsidiary Transfers Luhri Power Transmission SPV to Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari

REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Ltd., has handed over Luhri Power Transmission Limited, a project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to the successful bidder, M/S Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited, on August 21, 2026.

The SPV will facilitate the development of the “Transmission system for Evacuation of Power from Sunni Dam HEP and Luhri Stage-I HEP” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The SPV was formally handed over by Sh. Rajkumar Sonkar, HoD (CS), RECPDCL, to Sh. Nitin Mahajan, General Manager (Bidding), Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Ltd. The handover took place in the presence of Sh. Ratnesh Kumar, GM (Engg.), RECPDCL, along with senior officials from RECPDCL, Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Ltd. and Central Transmission Utility of India Ltd.

The transmission project broadly envisages the establishment of a 400/220 kV GIS Nange Pooling Station in Himachal Pradesh, along with a 400 kV Nange Pooling Station to Koldam double-circuit line spanning 50 km and other associated works.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by October 15, 2029, in line with the commissioning schedule of the hydro generation projects, namely Sunni Dam HEP (SDHEP) and Luhri Stage-I HEP (LHEP-I).

The estimated cost of the transmission project is Rs. 839.55 crore.
