Power Mech Projects Limited has secured a major contract worth ₹1,008.90 crore from JSW Thermal Energy Limited for the development of a thermal power project in West Bengal.
The order involves the execution of civil and structural works for the Boiler, Turbine and Generator (BTG) area of the 2×800 MW thermal power project being developed at Salboni in West Bengal. The project represents a significant addition to Power Mech’s order book and further strengthens its presence in India’s thermal power infrastructure sector.
Under the contract, Power Mech will undertake comprehensive civil and structural construction activities required for the BTG package of the project. The scope forms a critical component of the overall plant infrastructure and will support the development of the 1,600 MW thermal power facility.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 36 months from the effective date or commencement of work, as applicable.
The latest order underscores Power Mech’s continued role in executing large-scale power sector projects across the country and highlights ongoing investments in thermal power capacity to meet growing energy demand.
