LS Electric has secured an additional contract worth $165.72 million (approximately 230.9 billion won) to supply power infrastructure for an artificial intelligence (AI) data center project being developed for a major North American technology company.
The latest order more than doubles LS Electric’s earlier contract with the same client, underlining the company’s growing position in the rapidly expanding AI data center power infrastructure market.
The company had previously signed a $70.43 million (approximately 106.4 billion won) contract in June to supply a 38-kV high-voltage power distribution system for the same client. Following a request from the client for a larger supply volume, the size of the contract increased substantially. The contract period runs from June 8, when the original agreement was signed, through January 30, 2027.
LS Electric attributed the additional order to the trust established through the successful execution of the earlier supply agreement. The company said it gained recognition from the global technology company for its technology and project execution capabilities by meeting stringent quality requirements and tight delivery schedules.
The company is also strengthening its supply-chain stability and delivery competitiveness through local production facilities in the United States, including LS Electric Utah and the Bastrop Campus in Texas.
LS Electric said it plans to accelerate its efforts to establish an early lead in next-generation AI data center power infrastructure, including direct-current (DC) power distribution. The company expects its experience in executing projects for global big technology companies to support further order growth in the sector.
“We are securing additional orders as we successfully carry out projects for global big tech clients,” an LS Electric official said. “We will focus company-wide capabilities on solidifying our position as a key partner to global big tech firms and expanding our dominance in the AI data center power market.”
The additional contract strengthens LS Electric’s presence in the North American AI data center market while highlighting the company’s focus on combining technology capabilities, local production and execution expertise to meet the power infrastructure requirements of global technology companies.
