Laser Power & Infra Limited has received a Provisional Letter of Intent (LOI) and in-principle approval from the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited (WBIDC), Government of West Bengal, for the allotment of approximately 40 acres of land at Vidyasagar Industrial Park, Kharagpur, West Bengal.
The proposed land allotment will be used to establish a manufacturing facility for integrated power cables and conductors. The land is proposed to be allotted on a long-term lease basis for a period of 99 years, subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in the LOI issued by WBIDC.
As per the LOI, Laser Power & Infra is required to complete the necessary formalities and comply with the prescribed conditions for execution of the lease and commencement of the project.
The proposed facility is expected to strengthen the company’s presence in the power infrastructure sector and expand its manufacturing capacity. The project is also expected to improve supply chain efficiencies and support future growth opportunities.
The company has not disclosed the investment amount, proposed manufacturing capacity or project commissioning timeline for the facility in the disclosure.
