Havells India Ltd., a leading Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) and consumer durable company, has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of its advanced LED sports floodlighting system at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Commissioned ahead of the Bengaluru leg of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20, the project marks a significant step in modernising one of India’s most iconic cricket venues. The project also marks another milestone in Havells’ growing portfolio of sports lighting installations, reinforcing the company’s expertise in delivering high-performance lighting solutions for premier sporting venues.

Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Commissioned ahead of the Bengaluru leg of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20, the project marks a significant step in modernising one of India’s most iconic cricket venues. The project also marks another milestone in Havells’ growing portfolio of sports lighting installations, reinforcing the company’s expertise in delivering high-performance lighting solutions for premier sporting venues.
As part of the project, Havells has installed 456 Sparta Nxt G2 1650W Professional Sports Floodlights, designed to deliver high horizontal and vertical illuminance, superior lighting uniformity, a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of over 90, a Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT) of 5000–5700K, near-zero flicker performance for super slow-motion replays and precise glare control. The advanced LED lighting solution also offers instant switching capabilities, 40% improved energy efficiency than the previous setup and operational reliability, enabling consistent lighting performance for elite-level sporting events and live television production.
Complementing the floodlighting system, Havells has also commissioned a state-of-the-art German DMX lighting control system that enables centralized lighting management, programmable lighting scenes, synchronized visual effects, dimming controls and seamless integration with standard DMX video and music protocols. The intelligent platform enhances operational efficiency while creating an immersive audio-visual experience for spectators inside the stadium and audiences watching through HDTV broadcasts.
