Endurance Technologies Limited has announced plans to expand its lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing capacity at its existing facility in Mindewadi, Taluka Maval, Pune district, Maharashtra, with an investment of approximately ₹62 crore. The expansion is aimed at enabling the production of battery packs for the four-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) segment and strengthening the company’s presence in the rapidly growing electric mobility market.
The announcement follows the commencement of commercial production of lithium-ion battery packs at the Mindewadi plant on June 17, 2026. The company informed stock exchanges that it has evaluated future market opportunities and decided to enhance manufacturing capabilities to cater to anticipated demand from the four-wheeler EV sector.
Under the proposed expansion, Endurance Technologies will add manufacturing capacity of 3,640 battery packs per month for four-wheelers. The capacity addition is expected to be completed during the third quarter of the current financial year. The project will be funded through internal accruals.
Currently, the company has a manufacturing capacity of approximately 26,000 battery packs per month for two-wheelers. Commercial production at the facility began on June 17, 2026, and the company expects to achieve around 70% capacity utilisation by October 2026.
According to the company, lithium-ion battery packs have been introduced as a new product line targeting mobility, energy storage, and other high-potential applications. The investment will allow Endurance Technologies to broaden its battery pack portfolio beyond two-wheelers and enter the four-wheeler EV segment.
The company also stated that it is in an advanced stage of discussions with a four-wheeler EV original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the supply of battery packs, which could further support its expansion strategy in the electric mobility sector.
