ACME Solar Holdings Limited, through its subsidiary ACME Marigold Urja Private Limited, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for a 400 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under NTPC’s FDRE-01 tranche. The project has secured a tariff of ₹4.37 per unit, which has been adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
The project will be connected to the Raghanesda substation through the ISTS network, with final connectivity approval already secured. ACME Solar has also acquired a lease for more than 800 acres of land for the project and is progressing towards commissioning in line with the timelines specified in the PPA.
The FDRE project will combine renewable energy generation with suitable energy storage solutions to ensure a reliable and dispatchable power supply throughout the day. It is designed to meet the power requirements of offtakers, particularly during peak demand periods.
Under the project, ACME Solar will ensure a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40% and fulfil the obligation to meet 90% of the peak power requirement for a cumulative duration of 4.5 hours daily across morning and evening peak hours.
Following the signing of this PPA, ACME Solar’s under-construction, PPA-locked contracted portfolio has increased to 4,710 MW, out of its total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.
