Dilip Buildcon Limited has been declared the L-1 bidder by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for the development and operation of a 400 kV GIS Solapur/Paranda Switching Station in Maharashtra’s Dharashiv district. The project, valued at ₹1,265 crore excluding GST for EPC works, will be developed under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route.

The project involves the establishment of a 400 kV GIS Solapur/Paranda Switching Station to strengthen the intra-state electricity transmission system in Maharashtra. Dilip Buildcon will undertake the development, financing, design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the transmission assets.

The construction and commissioning of the project are scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the effective date, as specified in the project requirements.

Under the project arrangement, Dilip Buildcon will acquire 100% equity in the project special purpose vehicle (SPV) and act as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP). The company will be responsible for the development, ownership, operation and maintenance of the intra-state transmission system under the BOOT framework and Transmission Service Agreement (TSA).

The project is expected to operate for a period of 35 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD) following the completion of the 24-month construction period.

The project has been awarded through RECPDCL, acting as the Bid Process Coordinator on behalf of Maharashtra State Transmission Utility, and is intended to support the development of Maharashtra’s electricity transmission infrastructure.
