DMR Engineering Limited, as the lead member of a joint venture with Shri Balaji Hydro Construction Private Limited (SBHCPL), has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for the formation of a new joint venture company to execute Package-I of the 24.60 MW Kamlang Small Hydro Electric Project in Lohit District, Arunachal Pradesh.
The contract, awarded by Arun Shakti Energy Private Limited, is valued at ₹70 crore, excluding GST, with an execution period of 780 days.
Under the proposed joint venture arrangement, DMR Engineering will hold a 51% equity and profit share as the lead partner, while SBHCPL will hold the remaining 49% share.
The awarded package covers the construction of a coffer dam for river diversion and a barrage associated with the Kamlang Small Hydro Electric Project. The scope also includes civil and related works involving the barrage, tunnels, and other components and structures.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and carries a tenure of 780 days. The total contract value is ₹70 crore, exclusive of GST.
The Letter of Award marks DMR Engineering’s participation in the civil construction and execution works for the hydropower project through its proposed joint venture with SBHCPL.
