Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd (DICABS), one of India’s integrated manufacturers of power cables and conductors, has secured a major supply order worth ₹435.71 crore (exclusive of GST) for the supply of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) power cables for the 310 MW HYD22 to HYD26 Data Center Projects in Hyderabad.
The order covers the supply of approximately 21.35 lakh metres (over 2,100 km) of HT and LT cables. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first week of August 2026 and will be executed in a phased manner, with completion targeted by March 2027.
The contract is considered among the largest single cable supply orders awarded in India’s data centre sector, further strengthening Diamond Power Infrastructure’s position as a preferred supplier for mission-critical digital infrastructure projects.
Order Details-
Under the contract, Diamond Power Infrastructure will supply cables for the 310 MW Hyderabad data centre campus. The total order value stands at ₹435,71,13,171 (₹435.71 crore), excluding GST.
The scope includes the supply of approximately 21,35,324 metres of cables, comprising 1,89,404 metres of HT cables and 19,45,920 metres of LT cables.
The delivery terms are DAP (Delivered at Place) Hyderabad, with pricing inclusive of packing and forwarding, freight, and transit insurance. Pricing will be governed by the IEEMA Price Variation (PV) Formula, with April 2026 IEEMA indices serving as the base.
India’s data center build-out is creating a structural, multi-year demand wave for power cables. India’s installed data center capacity reached roughly 1,700 MW in 2025 after a record year of new supply, and industry forecasts project around 30% growth in 2026, with base-case projections of 4–5 GW by 2030 and AI-accelerated scenarios pointing to 8–9 GW or more. Hyderabad, alongside Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi NCR, is among the fastest-growing hubs.
Every megawatt of IT load requires extensive power infrastructure — incoming HT feeders, transformer and switchgear interconnections, and dense LT distribution to UPS systems, PDUs and rack-level loads. Industry estimates place the wires & cables opportunity from India’s data center EPC pipeline at roughly Rs. 4,600 crore over FY25–FY30, within a total data center EPC opportunity of about Rs. 46,400 crore, with the demand mix favoring high-specification products such as LSZH/FRLS, fire-survival, HT/EHV and high-current LT cables.
Commenting on the development, Umesh Chayya, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd, said, “Data centers are emerging as one of the most significant demand drivers for the Indian cable industry. This order for the 310 MW Hyderabad campus validates our manufacturing capability, quality systems and delivery reliability for mission-critical infrastructure. This is amongst the largest Data Center order for Power Cables in the Country. We look forward to executing it to the highest standards within the committed timeline.”
