Siemens Unveils Acend Intelligent Portfolio to Digitally Transform Fire Safety Systems

Siemens has launched its new Acend Intelligent notification portfolio, introducing a digital and connected approach to fire safety that transforms conventional notification systems into data-driven, operationally integrated solutions. The new offering is designed to enhance safety, reduce operational disruptions, and support the development of human-centric autonomous buildings.

The Acend Intelligent portfolio is aimed at environments where uninterrupted operations are essential, including healthcare facilities, hospitality establishments, commercial real estate assets, and data centers. By integrating digital intelligence into fire safety notification systems, Siemens enables organizations to move beyond reactive fire safety measures toward proactive monitoring and system management.

A key feature of the new portfolio is its Disturbance-Free Testing (DFT) technology, which allows system checks to be performed without activating audible or visual alarms. This capability enables testing activities to take place without disrupting building occupants or critical operations.

The solution provides individual monitoring and activation capabilities for all connected devices, including horns, strobes, speakers, and combination appliances that offer both audible and visual signaling. This level of visibility enables facility managers and fire safety technicians to identify operational devices, detect faults more quickly, and verify system readiness remotely across connected infrastructure, reducing the need for physical inspections.

To further improve system resilience, Acend Intelligent incorporates Class X isolation technology, which maintains system functionality even when wiring faults occur. The technology isolates faults while ensuring that the remaining parts of the system continue operating without interruption.

The portfolio is also integrated with Siemens’ Building X Fire Apps, a cloud-based suite of monitoring and diagnostic applications. Through this connectivity, personnel can conduct remote testing, predict maintenance requirements, and reduce manual intervention, helping organizations maintain safe and efficient operations.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Nebiker, Head of Fire Safety at Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings, said, “As buildings become increasingly connected and digitalized, safety systems must evolve alongside them. With Acend Intelligent, we are transforming fire notification into a foundational technology for these next-generation environments by combining cloud connectivity, real-time data, and digital integration,”

The Acend Intelligent portfolio is designed with resource efficiency and circularity in mind, including the use of recycled materials. It carries the Siemens’ EcoTech environmental product performance label for enhanced sustainability transparency. The portfolio is designed for and available in markets where UL certification standards apply, including the United States, Canada and selected markets in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
