Power trading firm GNA Energy on Friday launched its artificial intelligence-enabled power intelligence platform, GNAi, during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 in New Delhi, as India accelerates efforts to modernise its power grid and expand clean energy capacity.

The summit, being held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, from March 19 to 22, has brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and sector experts to deliberate on key issues including grid modernisation, digitalisation, and the ongoing energy transition.

In a written message read out at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged global stakeholders to “make, invest, innovate, and scale” in India’s power sector, highlighting the country’s growing opportunities in energy infrastructure and clean power development.

Addressing the gathering, Union Power Minister Manohar Lal said India has already achieved its target of 50% cumulative installed capacity from non-fossil fuel sources ahead of schedule, and noted that the power sector is expected to attract investments of around ₹200 lakh crore over the next two decades.

Against this backdrop, GNA Energy introduced its cloud-based GNAi platform, designed to enable a more decentralised and data-driven electricity ecosystem. The platform integrates data from smart meters, grid systems, and weather inputs, and offers advanced analytics and forecasting tools for utilities, power generators, regulators, and market participants, aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and decision-making in the evolving power market.
