Union Ministers Unveil REC Limited’s ‘Green Multiplier’ Pavilion at Bharat Electricity Summit, Showcasing India’s Sustainable Energy Future

REC Limited’s “Green Multiplier” Pavilion was officially inaugurated at the Bharat Electricity Summit by Shri Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs; Shri Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution; and Shri Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy.

The ceremony was also attended by Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India; Shri Jitendra Srivastava, CMD of REC Limited; and other senior officials from the Ministry of Power and REC.

Designed as a technology-driven showcase, the pavilion embodies the theme “Financing India’s Energy Abundance”, underpinned by REC’s core philosophy of the “Green Multiplier”. The initiative reflects REC’s efforts to amplify the impact of sustainable energy projects, promoting greater access, opportunity, and clean energy adoption across the country.

At the heart of the pavilion is a striking sun and solar panel installation, inspired by the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, symbolizing REC’s contribution to decentralized power and its commitment to democratizing energy for all.

The pavilion also showcases REC’s extensive financing portfolio, serving as a financial backbone for India’s Net Zero 2070 vision. In addition to traditional power projects, it highlights REC’s support for electric mobility and inclusive energy transition strategies.

A strong focus on technology makes the pavilion a high-tech experiential space, featuring anamorphic LED walls, kinetic displays, RFID-based storytelling, and innovation hubs, offering visitors an immersive journey into India’s sustainable energy future.

Through the “Green Multiplier” Pavilion, REC Limited reinforces its leadership in India’s energy sector, demonstrating its commitment to powering the infrastructure, innovations, and initiatives essential for a greener and more sustainable tomorrow.
