Adani Power Limited (APL) has announced the incorporation of a new wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Atomic Energy Limited (AAEL), marking its formal entry into the nuclear and atomic energy segment. The company informed the stock exchanges that AAEL was incorporated on February 11, 2026, upon receipt of the Certificate of Incorporation on the same day.
The newly formed subsidiary has been established with a clear strategic mandate to generate, transmit, and distribute electric power derived from nuclear and/or atomic energy. This development signals APL’s intent to diversify and strengthen its power generation portfolio by expanding beyond conventional energy sources into the nuclear energy domain.
AAEL has been set up as a Wholly Owned Subsidiary, with Adani Power Limited holding 100 percent of the shareholding, classifying the transaction as a related party transaction. The subsidiary has an authorized capital of Rs. 5,00,000.
The capital structure of Adani Atomic Energy Limited comprises 50,000 equity shares with a face value of Rs. 10 each. The entire shareholding is held by APL, reflecting complete ownership and control.
The initial subscription to the subsidiary’s capital was made in cash, indicating an immediate infusion of funds to operationalize the new entity.
