CyanConnode is deeply focused on advancing IoT-driven communication technologies, automation, cybersecurity, and hybrid network architectures to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving electrical and smart grid market.
Q. How has the current financial year been for your company in terms of growth, operational performance, and expansion within the electrical and power sector?
This financial year has been marked by strong growth, operational excellence, and meaningful expansion for CyanConnode across the smart metering landscape. One of the standout achievements has been winning our first AMISP tender in Goa. This significant milestone demonstrates our readiness to take on full scale AMI execution in addition to supplying our communication technology.
Operationally, we reached a major benchmark with 1 million smart meters communicating on a single HES instance in the Jabalpur project, showcasing the scalability, robustness, and maturity of our Omnimesh platform. Our deployments continued to accelerate, with over 5 million communication nodes dispatched to date in India.
We expanded our product portfolio with next-generation innovations, including the In Meter Gateway, three-phase gateways, and communication solutions for water and gas metering, positioning CyanConnode as a multi utility IoT communications provider.
Overall, this year has been defined by scale, diversification, and strategic progress, reinforcing CyanConnode’s leadership in India’s smart metering ecosystem and expanding our relevance in global smart grid markets. Internationally, we strengthened our global presence by establishing CyanConnode
Communications LLC in Dubai, enabling us to better serve customers across the Middle East and Africa and pursue new market opportunities and Africa and pursue new market opportunities.
Q. What revenue trends or key product segments, such as switchgear, transformers, cables, power electronics, or digital solutions, have shown the strongest performance this year?
This year, our strongest revenue performance has come from our IoT communication modules combined with our Head-End System (HES). These remain the core of our business and continue to drive the majority of our growth.
A major development this year has been our entry into the AMISP domain through our subsidiary DigiSmart Networks Pvt. Ltd.. With our very first AMISP bid, Goa, we secured a significant win, marking our transition from being only a technology provider to becoming an end-to-end smart metering execution partner. This new vertical opens a substantial revenue opportunity for us, and we look forward
to expanding further and participating in more AMISP tenders in the coming year.
Q. What major technological innovations or digital advancements (IoT, AI, automation, smart metering, smart grids, etc.) is your company focusing on to stay ahead in the evolving electrical market?
CyanConnode is deeply focused on advancing IoT-driven communication technologies, automation, cybersecurity, and hybrid network architectures to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving electrical and smart grid market. Our core innovation lies in developing next generation communication solutions that integrate RF mesh, long-range RF, and cellular technologies into a unified hybrid ecosystem. A key example is our newly developed In-Meter Gateway, which allows meters to dynamically switch between RF and cellular networks for uninterrupted communication and significantly reduced lifecycle costs.
Cybersecurity remains a major pillar of this innovation roadmap. With utilities increasingly dependent on digital infrastructure, we have strengthened our multi-layered “Swiss cheese model” security architecture, which includes end-to-end encryption, secure device onboarding, certificate-based authentication, and secure OTA firmware updates. Our Omnimesh platform is certified under the UK NCSC’s CPA scheme and aligned with CERT-In requirements, ensuring high resilience against emerging cyber threats. We continue to invest in advanced intrusion detection and secure communication stacks to maintain the highest levels of trust and system integrity.
At the platform level, we continue to enhance our Head-End System and Network Management System with greater automation, intelligence, and scalability—demonstrated by our recent achievement of managing one million meters on a single HES instance. Our communication modules also leverage edge computing to process data locally, improving efficiency and SLA performance. Additionally, we are investing in automation through our Workforce Management Solution, which streamlines field operations for AMISP deployments and enhances operational efficiency. Beyond electricity, we are expanding our
technology portfolio to support water and gas metering, positioning CyanConnode as a multi utility IoT communications provider for future smart cities. Through these efforts, we are building a resilient, efficient, secure, and future ready digital backbone for smart metering and smart grid ecosystems.
Q. How is your company contribut ing to India’s push for grid mod ernisation, energy efficiency, and improved power infrastructure?
CyanConnode contributes to India’s grid modernisation efforts by enabling utilities to transition from conventional, manual systems to digital, data-driven power infrastructure. Our communication technology serves as the backbone of smart metering deployments, allowing the utilities to gain real-time network visibility, reduce losses, and improve supply reliability. By supporting remote connect disconnect, accurate billing, load forecasting, and outage management, our solutions directly strengthen grid efficiency and operational planning. We are also playing a broader role in India’s modernisation journey through our AMISP capabilities, enabling us to deliver end to-end smart metering projects aligned with
RDSS objectives. Furthermore, our innovations, such as long-range RF for rural reach and hybrid communication for network resilience, ensure that modernisation is inclusive, scalable, and suited to India’s diverse terrains. Through these efforts, CyanConnode is helping utilities build a smarter, more efficient, and future-ready grid.
Q. What is your long-term vision for strengthening your company’s leadership in the electrical industry
amidst rapid technological change and increasing demand for sustainable and reliable power systems?
Our long-term vision is to establish CyanConnode as the most trusted and future ready communication backbone for smart grids in India and globally. As the electrical industry shifts toward automation, sustainability, and real-time intelligence, our focus is on building technologies that make power systems more reliable, efficient, and resilient. We aim to deepen our leadership by continuously advancing our hybrid communication platforms, expanding our multi-utility capabilities across electricity, water, and gas, and scaling our AMISP operations to deliver complete AMI ecosystems.
At the same time, we are investing in stronger local manufacturing, next-generation IoT solutions, and AI-driven analytics that will help utilities forecast demand, optimise energy use, and better integrate renewable sources. Our vision is to support the creation of smarter, more sustainable power networks while ensuring our technologies remain interoperable, scalable, and ready for the next wave of digital transformation.
