1. Hartek operates across power, automation, and electrical systems. At REI Expo, what new products or solutions will you showcase that directly support renewable energy integration and grid modernization?

At REI Expo 2025, Hartek Group is positioning itself not merely to launch new products but to showcase its integrated expertise across the entire energy value chain, reflecting our three core business verticals — Power Systems, Solar, and Power Distribution Products. The Expo serves as a platform to demonstrate how these verticals converge to deliver seamless, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.

Hartek’s holistic approach to renewable energy integration and grid modernization. Through live demonstrations, technical presentations, and interactive discussions, we will highlight our end-to-end capabilities — from designing and implementing advanced solar EPC projects to deploying high-voltage power systems and delivering cutting-edge distribution products that ensure grid stability.

By presenting our integrated solutions, Hartek reinforces its role as a trusted partner for EPCs, IPPs, utilities, and new entrants, showcasing how our combined expertise can accelerate India’s renewable energy adoption while ensuring operational excellence, reliability, and safety. The Expo underscores our commitment to building a resilient, future-ready energy ecosystem that meets the evolving needs of India’s clean energy transition.

2. With renewable deployment increasing, what are the key challenges Hartek sees in ensuring reliability, power quality, and safety in hybrid or microgrid environments — and how is Hartek innovating to address them?

Integrating hybrid and microgrid systems in India requires robust solutions to address challenges of reliability, power quality, and safety. The variable nature of renewable generation creates fluctuations in voltage and frequency, while the widespread use of inverter-based resources demands new approaches to reactive power support and grid stability. Safety is equally critical, particularly with the growing adoption of battery energy storage systems (BESS), which require advanced monitoring and emergency response mechanisms.

Hartek Group, as one of India’s top three EPC players in C&I rooftop solar, has connected over 10 GW of solar capacity to the grid, demonstrating leadership in scaling the country’s renewable energy footprint. Our EPC portfolio — which includes utility-scale solar projects, GIS substations, and 765 kV transmission systems — is designed to integrate renewables seamlessly into the grid. By deploying smart inverters, modern protection relays, and SCADA-based monitoring, we ensure stable operation, minimize harmonics, and maintain consistent power quality across hybrid networks.

Energy storage remains a key focus. In line with the Central Electricity Authority’s 2025 safety guidelines, we embed multi-layered protections — advanced BMS, thermal sensors, and fire suppression systems — into our BESS projects. These measures mitigate operational risks and enhance the reliability of microgrids, enabling round-the-clock clean power delivery.

Digital solutions further strengthen our approach. Through predictive analytics, AI-driven diagnostics, and IoT-enabled asset monitoring, we are shifting operations and maintenance from reactive to proactive, reducing downtime and improving lifecycle performance.

Beyond technology, Hartek’s leadership actively advocates for policy collaboration, Make in India initiatives, and industry-led decarbonization, while fostering skill development and indigenous innovation. By combining advanced engineering, digital innovation, and stringent safety standards, we are shaping India’s solar journey responsibly, building hybrid and microgrid systems that are reliable, resilient, and future-ready aligned with our Mission 2030 strategy in solar, storage, and smart grid infrastructure.

3.  How does Hartek’s R&D roadmap align with the evolving needs of solar, wind, and storage projects (e.g., smart inverters, control systems, grid compliance)? (Need Inputs)

Integrating solar, storage, and hybrid energy projects in India requires advanced technical solutions across generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Hartek Group’s R&D roadmap is closely aligned with these evolving needs, ensuring reliable, efficient, and grid-compliant renewable energy deployment.

With solar generation being variable and distributed, Hartek focuses on high-efficiency solar modules and smart inverters that optimize energy output while stabilizing voltage, managing reactive power, and enabling predictive controls for enhanced grid stability. Smart protection systems, automation, and SCADA integration further support grid modernization.

In energy storage, Hartek emphasizes Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hybrid solar-storage solutions to address intermittency and enable round-the-clock energy supply. These innovations enhance the reliability of projects commissioned for SECI, NTPC, SJVN, and NHPC, where hybrid solutions are increasingly adopted.

Hartek’s engineering strength is reinforced by its experience executing 400+ EHV/HV substations, including 765 kV systems. This expertise in reactive power management, voltage stability, and predictive control ensures seamless renewable integration, resilience, and reliable power delivery.

4.  Given your experience supplying substations, relays, and protection systems, what role do you see Hartek playing in enabling pumped storage, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and load-following operations in India?

Integrating pumped storage, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and load-following operations in India requires advanced technical infrastructure and precise energy management. These systems are critical for balancing the variability of renewable energy and ensuring a stable, reliable, and efficient power supply. Pumped storage facilitates large-scale energy shifting, while BESS provides fast-response energy buffering, both of which support grid stability and load-following requirements.

Hartek Group’s expertise in delivering high-voltage substations, relays, and protection systems up to 765 kV allows for seamless integration of these energy storage technologies into the national grid. Advanced switchgear, reactive power management, and robust protection mechanisms ensure consistent voltage stability and safe operation under dynamic grid conditions. Hartek has also pioneered Rooftop and Floating Solar solutions, with over 200 MWp installed for industrial and commercial clients and India’s first downstream floating solar project (22 MW). Their hybrid-ready designs, bifacial modules, and IoT-based O&M platforms ensure superior performance, while turnkey, modular, and scalable execution guarantees cost-effectiveness and long-term reliability.

By combining energy storage systems with smart grid technologies, Hartek ensures precise control, rapid fault response, and optimized energy dispatch. Through end-to-end project execution—from site surveys and engineering to installation, commissioning, and operations—Hartek strengthens grid reliability, supports renewable energy integration, and enables India’s transition to a cleaner, smarter, and future-ready energy infrastructure.
