Vietnam’s VinGroup Asia has expressed strong interest in establishing an electric-vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility in Telangana, signaling the state’s growing appeal as a hub for clean-mobility investments. Senior executives from the group recently met Telangana’s leadership and shared their plans to explore large-scale investments in both EV production and supporting supply-chain infrastructure.
During the discussions, the company highlighted Telangana’s improving industrial ecosystem, skilled workforce, and its proactive policies toward sustainable mobility as key reasons for considering the state for future expansion. Officials from Telangana assured VinGroup of fast-track clearances, land support, and a conducive business environment should the company proceed with its proposal.
If finalized, the project would boost local manufacturing, create new jobs, and strengthen India’s rapidly growing EV market. It would also expand VinGroup’s presence in the country, complementing its broader goal of building a strong foothold in the Indian electric mobility sector.
The dialogue between the Telangana government and VinGroup is expected to continue over the coming months as both sides evaluate project requirements, investment scale, and potential timelines.
