The Uttar Pradesh government is set to host two major international expos in 2026 that signal the state’s rising ambitions in trade, industry and clean energy. The two events are UP International Trade Expo 2026 (UPITEX 2026) and Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 (UPEX 2026), are being organised in partnership with industry stakeholders, and aim to draw global and domestic investors, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and technology providers. 
Officials describe UPITEX 2026 as the state’s largest industrial showcase so far, designed to present Uttar Pradesh’s manufacturing capabilities, trade potential, and business-ready ecosystem to a wide national and international audience. 
UPEX 2026, the dedicated energy expo, will focus on renewable energy technologies especially solar power and other clean-energy solutions highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to sustainable energy, industrial growth and future-ready infrastructure. 
According to state-level energy authorities, these expos are intended not just as exhibitions, but as platforms to foster real business linkages: between entrepreneurs, manufacturers, technology developers, and investors. The events are expected to bring about collaborations, investments, and projects across sectors including renewables, power, manufacturing, and related supply chains. 
The exhibitions further align with the state’s broader industrial and economic strategy. As Uttar Pradesh expands its infrastructure, manufacturing base, and energy capabilities, these expos are seen as strategic tools to position the state as a preferred investment destination. They come at a time when the state is already pushing for rapid industrial growth, infrastructure development and scaling up renewable energy to meet rising energy demand. 
Through this dual focus on trade industry via UPITEX and on energy/clean technology via UPEX, Uttar Pradesh appears to be signalling a strong intent to marry industrial expansion with sustainable energy transition. The government aims to present a comprehensive value proposition: abundant industry capacity, investor-friendly policies, and future-oriented energy and infrastructure backing.
