Torrent Electricals, part of the Torrent Group, has announced the launch of its switchgear portfolio, marking an expansion of its presence in the fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) segment. Alongside the product launch, the company also unveiled plans to establish a state-of-the-art Innovation Centre in Ahmedabad to support product development, testing and future innovation.
The newly launched switchgear range includes Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs), Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs), isolators and distribution boards. The portfolio has been designed to serve residential, commercial and industrial applications, with a strong focus on operational safety and consistent performance.
Commenting on the development, Varun Mehta, Director, Torrent Group, said the launch reflects the company’s unified approach to building a strong, safety-led presence in electrical products, supported by focused investments in research and innovation.
The proposed Innovation Centre in Ahmedabad will play a key role in strengthening Torrent Electricals’ product development capabilities and advancing its long-term innovation roadmap.
