Schneider Electric Infrastructure Revises Capex to ₹156.4 Crore for Vadodara Switchgear Expansion

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited has approved an upward revision in its capital expenditure plan to enhance switchgear manufacturing capacity at its Vadodara facility, increasing the allocation from ₹110.2 crore to ₹156.4 crore. The decision was taken by the company’s Board of Directors during its meeting held on March 27, 2026.

The revised investment will support additional shopfloor expansion, along with civil and structural works, aimed at strengthening the plant’s scalability for future growth. The move reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding its manufacturing capabilities to meet rising demand in the power and electrical infrastructure sector.

The development was disclosed under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and communicated to both National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited.

The capacity enhancement project pertains to the company’s manufacturing plant located in Vadodara, a key hub for its switchgear production operations. The increased investment signals an expansion in infrastructure readiness to support long-term operational and market requirements.

According to the company’s official communication, the Board meeting commenced at 3:00 p.m. IST and concluded at 3:38 p.m. IST. The company has stated that the updated information will also be available on its official website.

This strategic revision in capital allocation underlines Schneider Electric Infrastructure’s intent to scale its manufacturing base while aligning with anticipated future demand in the electrical equipment segment.
