Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on Wednesday that the state government is taking proactive steps to achieve energy self-reliance. The aim is to transform Rajasthan from an energy-consuming state into an energy-producing powerhouse.
During a special session on battery energy storage at the Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas event, he highlighted that Rajasthan holds a prominent position on the national renewable energy map. The state is currently ranked first in the country for both solar and overall renewable energy capacity. He also emphasised that the expertise and global networks of Non-Resident Rajasthanis could play a key role in advancing the state’s energy initiatives.
