Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) has announced a major restructuring move, merging its Industrial Devices Division (INDD) and Energy Solutions Division (ESD) into a single business unit called Panasonic Industry & Energy India (PIDEIN). The new entity will strengthen operational synergy, improve customer experience, and support the company’s long-term growth vision in India.
As part of this strategic integration, Narayan Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of PIDEIN. He will oversee the unified operations and report to Tadashi Chiba, Managing Director and CEO of Panasonic Life Solutions India.
The consolidation aims to streamline operations across Panasonic’s industrial and energy portfolio. The Industrial Devices Division focuses on products such as electronic components, sensors, relays, motors, and automation systems including PLCs and HMIs. Meanwhile, the Energy Solutions Division specializes in energy storage systems, batteries for electric mobility, and energy management solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Through PIDEIN, Panasonic aims to deliver comprehensive solutions spanning automation, components, and energy technologies, positioning itself as a key enabler of India’s industrial and clean energy transition.
