Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has introduced Swayamgati Cargo, the country’s first autonomous electric cargo three-wheeler, marking a major milestone in India’s shift toward intelligent and automated mobility solutions. The vehicle has been launched at an introductory price of ₹4.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
Designed for controlled and high-efficiency environments, Swayamgati Cargo is equipped with an advanced autonomy system that uses LiDAR, GPS, cameras, and multi-sensor fusion to navigate predetermined routes without human intervention. The vehicle can detect obstacles up to six metres ahead and operates within defined geofenced zones, making it suitable for industrial campuses, logistics hubs, warehouses, airports, and gated facilities where predictable, low-speed autonomous movement is feasible.
The electric three-wheeler is built on OSM’s existing EV platform and offers a driving range of up to 120 km per charge, enabling continuous intra-campus logistics and material movement. Alongside autonomous operations, the vehicle includes remote fleet-management capabilities, allowing operators to monitor vehicle performance, scheduling, and routing from a central dashboard.
The company has already completed early-stage pilot trials, during which Swayamgati Cargo successfully navigated a multi-stop autonomous test route. With this commercial launch, OSM plans to deploy the vehicle across large industrial zones and logistics parks and has outlined a roadmap to roll out up to 1,500 autonomous cargo and passenger units over the next two years.
According to Omega Seiki Mobility, the introduction of Swayamgati Cargo showcases India’s ability to develop cost-efficient autonomous electric vehicles suited to local conditions. The company stated that the launch represents a significant step toward modernising logistics workflows by reducing manual transport requirements, lowering operational emissions, and improving efficiency in closed-environment mobility systems.
