EV battery manufacturer Neuron Energy has raised ₹31 crore in a pre-Series B funding round to scale up its production capacity and support India’s rapidly growing electric mobility sector.
The round was co-led by Equanimity Ventures, with participation from the Rajiv Dadlani Group, Thackersay Family Office, Chona Family Office, and several high-net-worth investors. With this infusion, the company’s total capital raised to date has crossed ₹80 crore.

According to the company, the fresh funds will be used to expand manufacturing capacity to 3 GWh per year, supported by the development of a fully automated production facility at Chakan, Pune. The upgraded plant will cater to a wider range of electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and electric buses.

Neuron Energy will also allocate part of the investment to strengthen research and development, with a focus on next-generation battery technologies such as sodium-ion systems, alongside advances in lithium-ion chemistry. The company’s low-CapEx and low-OpEx operating model, it said, positions it for scalable and efficient growth across segments.

With EV adoption accelerating across India, Neuron Energy expects its revenue to reach ₹200 crore this fiscal year and is targeting a long-term revenue potential of ₹900 crore as capacity expansion progresses.
The company said the investment will help deepen domestic battery manufacturing capabilities, reduce reliance on imports, and support India’s clean mobility goals by supplying high-performance, locally produced battery solutions.
